Why I Started Blogging.

Hello.....is this thing on? 🎤 Embarrassingly, I've had this website for years and haven't actually blogged! Terrible......I know. Every time I got the courage and the time to actually blog, I was immediately weighed down by fear and discomfort. Personally, it's so hard for me to open up and be transparent online. So here's why I finally STARTED.

#1- To get comfortable with being UNcomfortable. A friend of mine told me years ago that personal growth starts with you being UNCOMFORTABLE. I thought to myself "Well that sucks! I hate being uncomfortable." - I later realized that this was the TRUTH! You have to be uncomfortable to grow.

#2- All things beauty & fashion! My love for makeup and cute clothes are one of the MAIN reasons I started Kenn's Pen. Oftentimes when someone compliments me on an outfit, I'm always inclined to inform them of how INEXPENSIVE it was. I'm so excited to have a platform to share good finds and great deals for cute pieces. While I'll primarily focus on affordable looks and drugstore brands, I'm down for a splurge on good products.

#3- No one is perfect. Yes, that's why I started. We get so caught up in comparing ourselves with others, passing judgment and only seeing the "highlight reel" of what people post on social media. Cute clothes and new jewelry are fun but adulting can be difficult and I want to talk about that! I want my blog to uplift and inspire! I want to be transparent, share struggles and connect with other women.

Whether it's a glass of wine, a motivational quote or a new handbag, I hope you can find some inspiration here!
